Bicester Village – in Oxfordshire, England, and the flagship project of the Value Retail managed Villages – opened in April 1995 and is the first purpose built and strategically located outlet village selling luxury and premium brands in the UK. Shortly after opening, the Village rapidly became the preferred shopping and leisure destination for some 3 million customers who now visit Bicester each year. Bicester Village is designed in the vernacular of traditional Oxfordshire rural architecture with individual clapboard fronted shops facing an open-air, landscaped pedestrian street. The brightly painted buildings and colorful awnings frame cobble-stoned walkways, punctuated by flowerbeds, intimate seating areas and outdoor cafes. An ample children's play area, comprehensive Visitor Centre as well as other comfort amenities contribute to a relaxed shopping day out for the entire family.

The Village is approximately one hour from both London and Birmingham, England's two largest cities, and is easily accessible from the M40. Bicester Village is on the way to Oxford, the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon, Blenheim Palace and Warwick Castle. It has become one of the United Kingdom's most visited tourist destinations.
